Allamericanlover (NZ) (American Ideal) strengthened her already stunning CV when powering to an emphatic win in the $113,000 Group One New Zealand Standardbred Breeders Stakes (2600m) at Addington on Friday night.

The NZB Standardbred graduate left her rivals with no excuses when working in the running of the time-honoured mares feature, before leaving those rivals in her wake.

Allamericanlover was purchased by Stonewall Stud for $35,000 at the 2019 National Yearling Sale at Karaka.

Breeder-vendors Breckon Farms added to their long list of Group One victories with their NZB Standardbred graduates, ahead of offering another stellar draft at the 2024 National Yearling Sale at Karaka on February 18.

Among their outstanding line up is a half-brother to Allamericanlover in Lot 24.

The athletic colt is by champion sire Bettor’s Delight (USA) from the standout producer Goodlookingbabe (NZ) (Mach Three)

Allamericanlover’s New Zealand Standardbred Breeders Stakes (2600m) victory now sits alongside her Group One Queen Of Hearts (2200m) win on her brilliant record.

And with the victory, Amanda Telfer is certain the mare she trains with her brother Steve has nothing left to prove on the racetrack.

“She doesn’t have anything to prove,” Telfer said.

“She has raced the good horses right the way through, but she hasn’t been over-taxed.”

Allamericanlover fired an almighty warning shot at her rivals with her epic victory in the Group Two Premier Mares Championship (1980m) at the same track a fortnight ago.

Friday night’s Group One win was almost identical, with Allamericanlover sitting in the breeze for the last lap before outstaying a stellar field.

The victory means mare now has New Zealand’s two biggest mares races on her resumé.

“She didn’t have it easy, she did her share of work and she beat them,” Telfer said.

The Stonewall Stud team will now consider where to aim their classy mare before she takes her outstanding CV into retirement and into the breeding barn.

Fellow top-line mare and NZB Standardbred graduate Manhattan (NZ) (Bettor’s Delight) chased Allamericanlover hard in her gritty third in the New Zealand Standardbred Breeders Stakes.

Like the winner, a half-sibling to Manhattan will also be offered at the 2024 National Yearling Sales.

Lot 332 at Christchurch is an Art Major (USA) filly from Manhattan’s dam Wat A Woman (NZ) (Mach Three).

The filly is among a quality draft that will be offered by Studholme Bloodstock.
