As the gavel fell on NZB Standardbred’s 2020 National Yearling Sale, the record-breaking sale emulated the results from the inaugural Sale further cementing New Zealand Bloodstock as market leaders in standardbred sales.
The strong demand for quality stock over the past two days continued into the Christchurch Sale of Pacers today, which saw 149 yearlings sell for an aggregate of $6,479,500. The average and median closed at $43,487 and $30,000 respectively, while the clearance rate settled at 78%.

The momentum has continued from NZB Standardbred’s Auckland session into Day One of the National Yearling Sale in Christchurch, with all key sale statistics exceeding results of the 2019 trotting session.
With 36 Lots sold this afternoon, the aggregate surpassed the million-dollar mark to close at $1,281,750. The average and median both climbed to $34,642 and $24,000 respectively and the clearance rate settled at 79%.

Day One of NZB Standardbred’s second ever National Standardbred Yearling Sale kicked off at Karaka on Monday, with record-breaking results rounding out the Auckland Sale.
The Sale broke records today after four Lots sold for in excess of $200,000, with the median increasing on last year’s results closing at $36,250.
