Flight Information for Services Departing from New Zealand
Australia
New Zealand Bloodstock Airfreight provide a weekly service to Sydney, including from Christchurch and Melbourne.
We also offer limited charter services to Brisbane and Perth each year upon request.
Pregnant Mares — Are not permitted to travel more than 300 days from their last date of service.
UK/Europe
New Zealand Bloodstock Airfreight offer services to London and other European cities upon request.
Tests — Within 21 days of export the horse(s) are tested for Equine Viral Arteritis (uncasterated males only) and Equine Infectious Anaemia (EIA).
Pregnant Mares — New Zealand Bloodstock recommends pregnant mares not travel in their last trimester.
USA
New Zealand Bloodtsock Airfreight offer services to New York upon request.
The horses for export must not have been vaccinated with a live, attenuated or inactivated vaccine during the 14 days prior to the scheduled date of export.
Pregnant Mares — New Zealand Bloodstock Airfreight recommend that pregnant mares do not travel in their last trimester.
Flight Information for Services Departing from Australia
New Zealand
New Zealand Bloodstock Airfreight offer a weekly service to New Zealand from Sydney and Melbourne.
There is no quarantine required for horse(s) that are exported from Australia to New Zealand.
Tests — Prior to all departures all horse(s) require tests for:
- Equine Infectious Anaemia (EIA) within 21 days of export
- Equine Viral Arteritis (EVA within 21 days of export
The horse(s) have been treated with an approved long-acting broad spectrum parasiticide effective against ticks and a broad spectrum anthelmintic within 48 hours of export.
Pregnant Mares — Are not permitted to travel more than 300 days from their last date of service.
UK/Europe
New Zealand Bloodstock Airfreight offer services to London and other European cities upon request.
Pre Export Isolation — The horse(s) will be held in pre-export isolation for at least 30 days prior to departure at an isolation premises approved by DOAWR.
Tests — Within 21 days of export the horse(s) are tested for Equine Viral Arteritis (uncasterated males only) and Equine Infectious Anaemia (EIA).
Pregnant Mares — New Zealand Bloodtsock recommend that pregnant mares do not travel in their last trimester.
USA
New Zealand Bloodstock Airfreight offer services to New York upon request.
